A "you look after your own and I'll look after mine" attitude is, by definition, antisocial. If you're so disinterested in society, and people in general, don't pick fights. It doesn't help anyone, rather reinforces prejudices of the author, the audience, and makes you sound foolish. I completely agree. My specific mention of gender was a call to address a common, visible pattern of harassment (which I did witness earlier today and too often), but the goal is absolutely a safer space for everyone, across all lines. Solidarity is the only way we keep these communities human.
