France has been pushing to expand ARTE in all 24 EU languages and use it as our public broadcaster for nearly a decade. Germany refused to pay, but recently they seem to have got a jolt and now propose to finance it via the EU budget. They still refuse to #EndRebates tho (a 49 billion hole frugals drill in the EU budget), so let's see how they square that circle.

1. There ARE plenty of active Europeans on here, in all EU languages, you can really turn it into a nice little anglo-free oasis with the right filters and still have plenty of content.
