The stones are memorials. They are to recognise the lives that were stolen and the holes in communities they left behind. Much better not to have to create them at all.

@Mab_813 @overholt @geolaw yes chickenpox vaccine will protect from shingles when older, as you need to have been infected with the herpesvirus that causes them. Same virus, chicken pox first, shingles later when it comes back out of your spine. Yay.

MMR = measles, mumps and rubella. Three entirely different viruses!

You can get put on a list for more frequent reminders if you have some kind of compromising health condition so it's worth asking GP about it

CSAM is two syllables. It is widely used. I'd say, do better.

@Tooden well, per legal definitions, not all sexual abuse is rape. So I'm not sure how helpful it is to bundle various things under that term that has (relatively) clear and important applicability already. Hope that makes sense. I don't want to go looking up various things about it right now, but.

When the 'sex trafficking' discussions are going on, I do tend to bring up rape - because there is no 'sex' with trafficked people, since consent requires no threat or coersion or force. And trafficked people face all or most of those.

I think this is important because phrases like this, and 'sex trafficking' or 'sex pest' minimise the crime and obscure perpetrators. We can and should hold media and commentators to account.
