If the bubble pops Mistral also has a higher chance of surviving given their focus on on-premise and very compact models for "edge" devices. They've realized the current tech has pretty much reached a plateau.

For context, the DDR4 stick began at about 25€ and the DDR5 stick at around 55€. A reasonable price gap for modern, more asked for technology.

What we have right now is just absurd.

Holy shit, I wasn't aware of the price differences between DDR4 and DDR5 RAM prices.

A single 16gb DDR4-2133 stick is listed for 55€.
A single 16gb DDR5-4800 stick is listed as 170€.

Both were the cheapest that were listed from german retailers (excluding AliExpress listings). Both have risen in price by about 250 to 300% in 3 months (DDR4 is just way cheaper).

Guess I'll stick with DDR4 systems in general for the foreseeable future. They're still powerful enough even for heavy gaming anyway.
