Today 4th January is World Braille Day

Braille is often thought of as being outdated & not used because there's technology instead, however, I personally know people who still use it.

They use tech, but there's cases where braille gives autonomy & confidence faster & easier than with tech.

Last year Spain made it mandatory for accessible labels on products, braille and/or QR codes, especially on products where it's needed for safety, integrity & quality of life.

This Thursday, 25th December @curtisysmith has kindly volunteered to set the theme. It's Curtis's first time in the hot seat and the planned theme is lovely 🤩

The theme is neutral, so you can be as festive or not as best suits you that day.

Yesterday a native German speaker was being helpful & told me that technically I shouldn't welcome someone to metalhead.club with "Willkommen am Metalhead.club" as it's not a real place.

Thing is, I don't believe the things I'm told on here as apparently:

Ingolstadt is a real place and not a fictional place where Frankenstein created his monster.

Bielefeld doesn't exist, it's an elaborate hoax.

So if anyone says metalhead.club isn't a real place I won't believe you

There's a huge difference between you posting festive stuff because you want, and having a group hashtag theme being festive

Just because a hashtag theme is neutral doesn't mean your response has to be

After some thought I've decided.

I'll release my metal AOTY 2025 list tomorrow evening, & my non-metal AOTY 2025 list on Sunday

I was given great advice & ideas, but at the end of the day I'll only be tempted to continue to tinker, worry, guess & obsess over the lists if I don't get them out soon

I'll also then be able to focus on other people's. I love looking at what other people like & share 🤩
