@nuwagaba2 I'm a geography professor but not a biologist or ecologist. But I have been encouraged over my life to pay attention to the natural world around me. So I read, and listen, and try to ask good questions. And I use iNaturalist to help me understand the world around me.

Also, I sometimes paticipate in citizen science projects.

@nuwagaba2 By rerreating into their shells? No, because that is their evolved defence. By being grabbed like this, no unless maybe the snail is on glass or other super smooth man made surface. But the foot of the snail is not a suction cup but more like a sticky pad that is strong enough to hold but is not a glue.

@ascentale @bikenite A7. Thank you all, question asker here. I was pondering this question since I have some experience but I wanted a wider set of thoughts.

I have an now unused single speed Adams that we rode everywhere with since the child outgrew their seat. Now they are too big for the Adams and while we plan to unload it, I ponder it as a cargo trailer. It is heavy at 25lbs but it is the trailer I have and not the trailer I wish I had. And I could fit saddlebags to it...
