@mander The CCC does not actively use youtube. It's just that all talks that are uploaded to the primary platform (media.ccc.de) also get automatically mirrored to youtube, to preempt other people from doing that badly.
The subtitle team has its home at https://c3subtitles.de/ (which apparently doesn't yet know about #39c3).
