p.s. You can also do this on other PeerTube sites. The reason I'm mentioning https://fedi.video in particular is because I've tried to make it as safe and easy as possible for new people by manually curating every account, and trying to list as many high quality accounts as I can.

If you want a wider and less filtered view of PeerTube, you can use the official search engine at https://sepiasearch.org (but that will be less safe and lower quality as it's not manually curated).

You can help PeerTube grow by going to https://fedi.video and watching some videos, this lets the video makers know they have an audience

Even better, you can follow video makers from Mastodon:

1. Click the video maker's name on Fedi.Video to go to their profile page
2. Click on ⧉ on the profile page
3. Paste into the search box in Mastodon, then click follow

This lets video makers know they have followers.

p.s. I know a lot of people know about this but posted because still seeing people unaware of the edit feature. This is possibly because other platforms don't have editing or restrict its use to elite members.

Everyone can edit their posts on here, you don't need to be a special member of any kind.

In case you missed it, you can edit your posts on Mastodon!

1. Go to the post you want to edit
2. Click ⋯
3. Click "Edit"

If someone has already boosted your post, they will be notified every time it is edited. This notification is to prevent "bait and switch" abuse of the editing feature.

SLIGHTLY TECHY - Services like @yunohost provide a graphical interface for VPNs & home servers.

VERY TECHY - Manually installing using the official documentation and command lines.

The problem with ovo.st is there's nothing public facing at ovo.st, it's just a barebones list. It's not clear if the service will even keep going?

Hopefully its maintainer could add an official public page about it

It's a waste of time, but in theory the new owner of the gup.pe domain might somehow restore their functions for spamming etc.

If a domain has fallen into hands of domain squatters and there's no chance of getting it back, it's a good idea to just block it.

In case you missed it, the Guppe discussion group system has permanently closed down.

However, there is a replacement discussion system run by Fedigroups.social. I've tried to list the active public FediGroups at:

- To follow a listed group, copy-paste its Fediverse address into the search box in Mastodon, then click "Follow".

- To post to a group, mention its account in your post.
