Imagine a stranger spreads lies about you.

Imagine a stranger spreads lies about you. They tell people you're doing horrible depraved crimes. Would you just block them?
What happens when other people don't block them? When other people believe the lies and share them?
What if this turns into real life abuse and violence against you and your family?
This is what vulnerable groups face from bigots. Bigoted accounts need to be shut down, servers which refuse to remove bigots should be defederated.
"Just block them" doesn't work.
p.s. If anyone wants a specific real life example of this actually happening, here is one:
TL:DR -
A black grandfather played with his white grandchildren in the park, their family videoed it as it was a wholesome scene.
Far right racists stole the video and lied about its context, claiming it was actually an immigrant trying to abduct kids. The video and lies were shared millions of times. The innocent grandfather is now threatened in the street and lives in fear.

Yikes. Theres a lot to unpack here.First of all, nice strawman! You definitely know that your fake criticism does not adress anything that was written and only tries to trigger people.
Second, mixing antisemitism allegations in a discussion is no red flag AT ALL, right?
I suggest you walk along. I dont think we have anything constructive to discuss.
