We plan to move our very small instance this month or next (currently VPN self-managed w/ Digital Ocean) to a managed hosting provider in the EU.
The only two providers we've found that meet our criteria so far are masto(.)host and toot(.)io.
We have no experience with either; this is based solely on recommendations we've gotten here and online searches.
We have "tested the waters" with a different EU-based host. Based on our experience we think we need more robust tech support than they provide.

@britt I have only good words for and had good experiences with Clouding.io; they are located in Barcelona and go the extra mile to ensure their servers use only green energy.

@britt For EU Hoster I recommend Hetzner. Professionel and good support. But not cheap.
