@Rihilism did you write that alt text or did an 'AI'? because, mantises can't move their eyes at all, and compound eyes don't have pupils, just sometimes a seemingly moving dark spot, dependent on the angle of light, appearing there where the light strikes the compound orthogonally and 'dissappears' deeper into the tubular single eye
