I'm seeing a lot of vague criticism towards the Chaos community and towards the organizers and participants of Congress. To me Congress was empowering the past years. To me it feels like a place I can be myself and in parts like a community. To me it is what I would expect from a pride event but what a pride event never is for me.

It sucks that Congress is not like this for everyone and I noticed this year that at congress there are also only people. Some of whom have other opinions than me and some of them who roll their eyes at all the additional accessibility considerations. But I noticed that many people are open to listen to other opinions and are willing to reconsider their opinions.

But what remains is that Congress is made up of thousands of humans with sometimes overlapping interests. I find it hard to see all of them as one community but latest this year I think I found my community within.
