Wow. That shit is terrible: so a friend organized this spontaneous, friendly, DIY, mutual aid booth within the ULB during FOSDEM.

So they were:
Pack up now or we call security

And I was like: why? For what?

They:
You have an illegal stand. We are not going to discuss, do it now or we call security

Me:
Why? For what? You gonna kick us out?

Them: you are not going getting kicked out but we gonna call them if you don't pack up now pre-dials on device

Me: so you evict us?

Them: you have an illegal stand. Pack it away now or we call security

Zz: but we are just outside, is a picknick allowed then?

Them: we are not going to discuss, we will call security threatens with predialed device

Me: but I just want to understand why, for what?

Big fash (starting to be very stressed and loosing his grip) shouting:
We are not going to discuss! I call security

Even when we were packing up, they threatened us with security because we weren't "fast" enough. Like we already comply, what do you want us to do?

What they said to my friend is that ppl sometimes have "illegal" stands and then fosdem staff and volunteers need to clean up after them. They are only 15 ppl core crew, and the uni is very strict for every sticker, poster, etc that is still there.

But they could have just said that in the beginning, like clean after yourself."

@adalanerd I guess burocracy is a bitch. There's a reason the can only allow so many stands and devrooms. Maybe next year he can propose to populate a stand. Last thing we want is ULB to stop allowing FOSDEM at their places because of an infringement.
