I didn’t really understand content warnings when I joined Mastodon but as I’ve had this #MentalHealth / breakdown / #depression since December can I just say how much I love them?

It also stops me from scrolling mindlessly. I have to interact with posts which helps keep me grounded.
More CW culture pls and thx.

@dleszcynski I don’t use them as much as I should, and I apologize.

@revndm no need to apologize! I didn’t use them hardly at all until recently. Rebuilding social media for all of us is a group project and will take time.

️@dleszcynski I guess I just assume if I can handle it, everyone can unless I’m talking about NSFW things or one of my really bad takes

I didn't get that CWs are different than TWs, at first. But now I love them. I decided that anything I post that might diminish somone else peace would get a CW, whether that's me venting about a frustrating experience or world events.
That practice has given me a lot of insight into myself, and I'm really grateful for the changed perspective.
