Carrying on from my original kitten post, which started a few posts back from here:

Late last night this lad's goofing around at the base of the cat post. So I leaned forward in my office chair to lean over and chat with him about it all. And he decides to leap up and land on my chair seat behind me. Now both he and his sister loves the office chairs and get in them all the time, I think he just got all excited and didn't think about me being there. He didn't stay long but it was an interesting development. One day he might voluntarily come get in my lap, I hope.

We've had solar panel installers in today from early, clomping around on the roof installing tracking for the panels to be mounted to. The babies, having only partially eaten brekky at that time, went straight into survival mode and spent the day silently hiding out in the washing machine box. They only came out about half hour after the techs left, and things got quiet. I tried to talk them out during the day but they were having none of it. Their survival instincts are definitely very strong.

Everyone's had some brekky, the solar techs are due back soon so I await the kittens disappearing into the washing machine box and not moving for several hours again. Hopefully the install's all finished today. They everything can go back to normal.

Solar panels are installed, kittens eventually clambered out of the box. Supervisor stole their dinner so I let the kittens eat hers. Seemed only fair.

I went to sit on the couch next to Supervisor who was lying on the throw on the couch. She was leaning against a lump, and soon enough the lump moved. It was my little boy, tunnelling into some snug warmth! First time I've seen him do that.

I thought all three were upstairs earlier and closed the door to the stairs. Just realised my little boy wasn't asleep on the couch but was MIA. Eventually found him under the stairs. I think he thought he was in trouble and instead of crying to be let in, he hid away. He's still a bit upset now.

Got home from the pool and found my tabby friend in the windowsill so offered her my fingers to huff. Mmm fresh chlorine. Suddenly Supervisor jumped up on the couch and the two of them sniffed other's heads with interest. Supervisor lifted a paw casually, but then put it down again. No hissing, no aggression, they each went their own way.
