@MostlyHarmless I posit that this is in direct response to corporations using brighter or flashier colors as branding and advertising. people want their home to feel authentic so they avoid bright colors - you don't want your bathrom painted walmart yellow and blue, do you?

My bathrooms are pink/apricot and my office is Bahama Blue. My bedroom is sage green.

I'm staging my own quiet rebellion against the katzenkotze in 2026 - by buying colourful tech. My new earbuds are blue, and my rugged phone case is mostly bright orange
