If you're not getting boosts on a visual post, try adding Alt-Text.

On a few instances it is very usual. On most it is shockingly low. Tusky now has a warning if that field is empty.

Ignorance must be a large part of it but I think we have to accept that a lot simply can't be bothered.

I don't really see the problem, as hardly anyone I follow is thoughtless enough not to do it.

@lionelb I'm on green and I don't know the technical numbers for tracking but in my experience it has plummeted in the last six months. I see less alt text than ever and because I'm stubborn enough not to interact with posts which lack it it really hobbles my style. I don't think it's ignorance at all at this point by the way.
