@bert_hubert Same here in germany. Our state would just collapse.
OTOH, we also have soo much outdated on-prem stuff, we might just be fine ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

@bert_hubert I sincerely hope that these using American clouds at least have local backups of all data, so they can set up european services lateron (after the fact).

@energisch_ @bert_hubert yes, for instance there are international, US based pharma groups delivering vital HIV medication (as in treatment for HIV positive as well as preventative drugs for HIV negative people) to the world.
If these would be to retreat from European markets it could cripple TasP and prevention efforts.

️It's depressing. Not going to bother with an analysis;
is screwedI recommend we find a way to collaborate with EU efforts to build online infrastructure independent of American control.

@energisch_ I've not the slightest idea whether it's even possible to buy enough in advance to provide currently treated and any surplus which may come on top after diagnosis. Especially in light of rising infection rates globally due to war and other socioeconomic factors. What's definitely at risk are treatment options. One does not tolerate each available regimen and some got resistant virus in their DNA, so already have limited options. Need production long term.
