If you watch the news (and you should) please balance the emotional ledger. If you have family/friends, remind them about shared good memories.

Also take a beat every couple hours, step away for your own break to watch some clouds or birds, walk some stairs in your home or building, *and listen to nostalgic music*.

During the dead of cold winters, it's important to make an effort to do anything that makes you happy (and hurts no one).
