For personal use, opencloud lets you share files online with a very small footprint, but it uses its own filing system so it can't be used on an existing filesystem, content must be imported.
Nextcloud, as others have said, can be a stack of cloud services but you can pare it down to just files and do collaborative editing. I found I could just symlink my existing files and run the scan to make them all available.
