These aren't potentially baseless accusations. People aren't being banned over heresay. There is public evidence.

Saying that you don't want people banned in the future over false allegations is ridiculous. Nobody wants that. The fact that you feel the need to say that is maybe suspicious, maybe stupid. It's another version of "not all men" or "not all white people." You clearly are misunderstanding something and should excuse yourself, or you are trolling or sealioning.

@deadinside @rayckeith almost everything else on this is useful, but you're right. I just listened to some reporting on the Minneapolis/St Paul/etc ICE resistance, and the thing that keeps people safest is solidarity: numbers and attention.

People are following them around on foot and in vehicles, blowing whistles and honking, and ICE could retaliate without repercussions. If they did, though, they'd be outnumbered and overpowered easily. The reason they are driving like assholes and doing terrible things like leaving kidnapped people's vehicles running AND in drive is because they will not face blowback from their bosses, and no activist is going to enact violence over that.

Besides that, "immunity for ICE" directly translates to "your rights are worthless." All levels of police have positioned themselves against activists even if they haven't officially sided with the federal government. Kinda neat how the three branches keep each other in check in theory but not practice. ‍
