#Skateboarding was the beginning of everything. In my new zine #ParadiseLost, interviewees describe how the hardcore #punk scene in Sarasota started with skaters and surfers. Jake Loomis, now a high school teacher and potter, pictured below as a teen, describes how he went from breakdancing to skating and then found punk. Skateboarding #magazines, particularly “Action Now” and “Thrasher” were how many of them learned about punk/hc music. Comment if you can relate! Http://shotgunseamstress.blogspot.com

The Crucifucks s/t (Alternative Tentacles, 1984)
I don’t have a temper but sometimes I wish I did. There’s so many ppl I should’ve lost my shit on over the years, and I just think back and regret all of the missed opportunities. I think that’s why I love this album so much. It’s an LP-length temper tantrum.
