@breitensteinart yeah, I did, it might be fixed now, but for some reason no matter what I tried, my browser kept telling me it wasn't a search engine. I tried updating, reinstalling firefox, installing from a different source, it was baffling. So I went looking for an extension because I thought, I bet someone has thought of this. Aaaaand they had! Who even knows what other AI queries are being auto generated without our consent these days by advertisers, too.

DuckDuckGo has a No AI version: https://noai.duckduckgo.com.@breitensteinart I couldn't get that to work on my phone, but I did find a Firefox extension that blocks AI searches from being completed - or so it claims - so it doesn't just hide the results, it tries to stop the requests entirely, to save the resources from being wasted. I have not been bothered by seeing the search results since then, though I have reported and blocked some websites since then. (Just leaving this in case anyone else who sees your OP had similar problems.)
