What came next?

He met, today, with someone who was diagnosed with a terminal cancer. Since then, 15 years have passed. She lived.

So now he has renewed hope.

The side effects of her treatment were horrible. I'll skip the details; this is real suffering, not entertainment.

I will not ask what kind of cancer she had. I don't want to analyse the hope into dissolution. That's cruel.

And besides, it is my fervent wish that he survive. He needs a positive attitude.
