@inthehands Unfortunately, it seems at least too many elected dems still think it should exist.
Some have joined the 'abolish ICE' calls, but, I don't think enough reps or senators are taking it seriously.
Yet.
Some have changed stances - public pressure matters.
Especially when it's backed up by strikes, disruptive protests, etc.
So, it's not hopeless - but I don't think most of the senate, is seriously considering 'abolish' as an option. [hopefully primaries will be a slaugghter over it]

@aud @AnarchoNinaWrites Also - if you're going to call/write your representatives, mention the general strike.
Make sure they are *painfully aware* of the threat, make sure they *know* their constituents have heard about it and will participate if they do not respond appropriately.
Make sure they are stressed out, losing sleep, panicking to try to find a way out of this.

@aud @AnarchoNinaWrites I took the opportunity to be less subtle about it - I said the DHS needs to be disbanded, ICE and the I&A abolished completely, Trump, Miller, and Noem should be sitting in a cell awaiting trial, and that I am encouraging anyone who will listen to me to participate in the national general strike, and grind the entire country to a halt until those are all true.
I doubt they'll listen to any of it, but, I'll continue to be a pain in their ass about it until the strike.

@alice Fair, I've kinda made a point to nudge everyone around me into using them for the last... decade or more... so, it's become normalized in my proximity too, though I'm not sure how common they are more broadly.

@alice Do script, tracker, and ad blockers not count as 'normal'?
