doing something is better than doing nothing. what good is trying to be perfect or going all the way when you feel like it's too much tackling all at once?

@byte my first full-time position wasn't that bad, luckily. i hope my next one is alright too
@rail i get that from the ms teams call sound.
and jabber. Fuck jabber
@nyanbinary i suppose a lot of things are nicer than sex if you're ace.
what is too long, anyways? I have total empathy with anyone unable to quit such a job because they can't just go elsewhere or quit without a plan b
@guigui had a job that gave me multiple panic attacks a day and broke me internally. quitting after i found something else that didn't have the same issues was so damn good, it immediately improved my mental health.
I still sleep like shit bc of overthinking all the time, but i don't get a stomach ache on sunday afternoons anymore, and the panic attacks disappeared.
My utter lack of excitement for working in software unfortunately stayed, but the industry is just fucked beyond recognition, there's nothing i can do about that.
sex is great but have you ever quit a job that was ruining your mental health?
@RYStorm they must be preparing for my upcoming vacation
@vkc the internet is quite the cesspool sometimes. I'm sorry you had to go through that
