@Kimberley It actually is. We started with a hanging bird feeder and had so much fun watching the sparrows helicoptering around and bringing their babies to sit on the railing and beg food from their parents. We have had the birdhouse hanging for a number of years, but two years ago we moved it to the highest and outermost spot in the hopes the birds would feel safer not being too deep "inside" . I'll let you know if they finally sign a lease.

Also, I'd love to read about wildlife-friendly gardening. We have a covered balcony and a pair of blue-tits shopping our birdhouse for the second year in a row.
