@mwyman @inthehands Groups doing actions, whether they’re Tesla Takedowns or rapid response things, are deliberately watching for and stopping anyone who might try to smash a window or set a trash can on fire. They learned something from the protests after George Floyd’s death and the coverage thereof.For a while last year some Internet leftists were Big Mad about this but the people actually doing the work didn’t care what they thought.

@Canageek @inthehands This is also true. ICE has to book under false pretenses for exactly that reason. Most hotels don't want them, at the very least for practical reasons. They absolutely do abduct hotel staff.With that said, Marriott has a history of collaborating with ICE. A request from somebody in the USA: if you live in another country, please start pressuring your government to institute sanctions against the US.Diplomatic sanctions, economic sanctions, whatever is possible.I do not expect this to happen quickly. Start laying the political groundwork now so that it can happen at all, ever, while it still matters.
