@joeystebanuk @randahl Exactly. The fee would go to the Palestinians, in kind even, that there were some issues to do with the governance to be worked out, and that it should be organized to deal only with Gaza, as set out in the UN. That doesn’t sound like acceptance from Carney.

Also, the U.S. is dependent on Canada’s military detection for the north, in our joint NORAD operations. If it were up to me, we’d be turning that dark the moment the US moves on Greenland.

An attack by the U.S. on Greenland puts the U.S. at war with all but a few NATO countries, and perhaps most notably, Canada. Every country that has already sent troops for “exercises” or to demonstrate their commitment, or has otherwise affirmed their commitment to fulfil their obligations under Article 5 have already said they would walk away from the U.S. to defend Greenland and Denmark.
