I would like to express my concern that as a company you still widely support X, Facebook, and the other social media giants. These platforms are largely unregulated, unmoderated, and have a track record of fuelling division and hatred. Certain platforms also interfere in electoral processes. It is inappropriate for a national broadcaster to tacitly support such manipulative and divisive commercial operations that flout our laws and common decency.

I advocate the use of either open social media (e.g. the Fediverse/Mastodon), or to return to an old-fashioned subscription model (e.g. mailing lists, RSS feeds, etc), where what people see is controlled by the consumer of the information rather than the social media platform.

I'm coming up to my third anniversary of being in the Fediverse and using #GoToSocial. I first started using it at version 0.6, and it's been great right from the start. Thanks, dev team!
