@evacide Abolish ICE is too wishy-washy. I would much prefer to see calls to *prosecute* ICE.

Ten years ago, if someone had told me that tech policy bloggers would be calling for ICE to be abolished, I would have thought it very unlikely. -
Pete Hegseth cuts the pension and strips Senator Mark Kelly of his military rank, because he — a democrat— had the audacity to disagree with the Trump regime.@hehemrin @randahl That’s because there is no “Secretary of War” position in the US government, and no “Department of War” for such a secretary to lead. Renaming the Department of Defense takes an act of Congress, which has not happened.
I personally think “Department of Defense” is euphemistic, and “Department of War” would be more honest, but that’s not how it’s currently named.
