I often see people posting Nikita Gill poems here, so let me share a little story. -
Let's be honest, the thing that we find appalling about this story of a middle-aged white British woman being locked up for weeks by ICE isn't the fact that she was locked up; it's that it can happen to a white middle-aged British woman.@davidnjoku @georgebaily I remember visiting NYC in late Sept 2001 and every single brown person on the plane being lined up for additional scrutiny, while I, the sole white face on the flight, was waved through. Gave me the ick in a big way.
