    @inthehands
    We Americans need to begin creating and installing our own version of the German “solpersteine”, “stumbling stones” set into pavements and streets for every individual kidnapped or murdered by ICECBPDHS agents. Never forget! Never forgive!

    @Radaghaz @inthehands those exist in other countries too, and are indeed important and powerful.

      @inthehands honestly, the best hope is that Jeff bezos objects to having his slave labour raptured with packages undelivered.

      I keep reminding people that we live in a plutocracy not a democracy. Even Harvard admits it now.

      Getting our economic overlords to care about what's happening is the primary within-the-system method that we can use to turn our national course.

        @paul_ipv6 @inthehands honestly, I've been wondering that for a while. If there is a masked, unidentified person abducting people in broad daylight, isn't it supposedly the police's job to stop them? I mean could be anyone, without a badge we can't know for sure, after all.

        (And I know, expecting the police to actually do their job instead of committing crimes themselves is a tall order, but still)

        In my city ICE chased a gardener into the restaurant he was working for, city cops in there eating completely ignored the unconstitutional grab.

        Cops do not know or defend the law. They terrorize poor people, just like ICE is doing.

          What’s it like living in Minneapolis / St. Paul right now?

          This weekend, ICE abducted two people straight out of a car near where I live. Just straight up stopped the car and took them.

          I found out because neighbors were trying to figure out what to do with the car, which ICE just left there blocking the street.

              The car appears to be a rental. It had Amazon packages in the back seat — just received? Or (more likely) being delivered? Probably these were people just out there doing their delivery job, try to make ends meet.

              But we don’t know, because nobody was able to find out who they are.

              I hope they get out. I hope they get their car back. I hope a lot of things.

              Posting a number for people to report missing family and friends sometimes works. If you have someone who can do aftercare who shows up consistently and builds relationship, that is a good method too.

                          I am so sorry you are dealing with this.

                          To try to prevent these situations, Human Rights First created an app called "Ready Now" for immigrants or anyone who might be abducted. I have it even though I'm white and a citizen by birth, because I do ICE watch. It gives you a "panic button" to push on your phone to send an emergency message to your chosen contacts that ICE may have taken you. Mine just asks my neighbor to feed the cats and get me a lawyer.

                              @inthehands The police chief actually said there were cars also left with pets in them that they had to get animal control for. These people are monsters. Actually, I wouldn’t mind taking their citizenship away since they’re acting like Nazis and not Americans. That’s way too much to ask for, but I do hope to see some in jail.
