It‘s about as useful as discussing whether venom or toxine is the proper term if the drinking water is killing people who ingest it.

At least the Gestapo had uniforms that identified them as Gestapo members; they did not walk the streets "disguised" as civilians. Nor did the Gestapo shoot people in the open street. That was more likely to be the SS. Right, the guys with the skull and the two "Blitz-S" on their uniform. -

@Sascha_Raubal laut Duden und Wiktionary geht beides. [ɡəˈʃtaːpo] ist bei beiden erlaubt. Hörbeispiele sind aber alle für [ɡeˈstaːpo]. Keine Ahnung warum sich [ɡəˈʃtaːpo] so falsch anhört, obwohl es viel logischer ist.
