@joncounts a couple of times in Zealandia I've heard something and wondered what on earth it was. I thought for a time a Toutouwai, but their calls, while shrill, are more forceful. I was surprised to catch sight of the young Korimako both times (a year or two apart).
The latest occasion netted me this shot which I quite love.
