There was a lot of suffering today

I packed up string, toys and ribbon this morning and went to the office. Watched my robovac from afar as 4m in she got stuck and sat there until I got home. In the hour in between me leaving and her activating, the kittens pulled all the strings and ribbons down, tossed toys everywhere and then dragged the blanket down off the post as well. Robovac was thoroughly wound up with string and trapped by blanket.

My little tabby friend just started sneezing madly and flicking her tongue in and out of her mouth. So I picked her up and had a close look. She had a tiny little thread stuck between some teeth, on the roof of her mouth. So had to hold the wriggler still whilst I carefully picked this tiny string out of her teeth. All good now. Thankfully.

Kids, I think you're both getting a bit too big to both fit up there at the same time now.

So after last week's stock up on cat food I ended up buying half a dozen boxes of food for Supervisor as it was on special, and some kitten food as that was on special so now I have an insane amount of cat/kitten food. Ah well, don't have to buy any more for a while.

Supervisor saw me stacking up cans for her and thinks she deserves one for lunch.

Dinner time has happened. Supervisor now sleeping it off on the bed. Tabby is sleeping it off in a windowsill. My lad's curled up inside a rug.

Sleepy babies

We're in the throes of some electrical work so the babies hid most of the day whilst this was going on. Their couch bed was put up on one end which was upsetting so that had to go back down again. A sparkle ball stash was under the couch so now they have sparkle balls to play with and the fear has gone. Sadly more works tomorrow then we can play sparkle balls again and be happy again.

It's been a big day. The babies are pooped.

Cat trap is working

Electricity is a wonderful thing, and it's so lovely having mine back on! The kittens got scared at having sparkies in clomping about, and spent most of yesterday hiding in their washing machine box. Then we had a quiet, dim night in, via torch light. My lad did discover the joy of climbing ladders, tabby sniffed it but didn't try as far as I know. Supervisor loves climbing ladders but didn't show off in front of the kittens.

Power got switched back on this morning. Yay for heating!

Just been sitting quietly on the couch with the babies. After a stressful couple of days of strangers in the house and a lot of power tool noise and strange voices, they needed a good cuddling and belly rubs. They're back to their playful selves again. Lad just climbed the ladder again.

My lad has discovered he loves climbing ladders and has been climbing the one currently out several times a day. Including around 5:30am when he sort of crash landed loudly off it, whilst goofing around. So far his sister's not found the same allure in it.
