I got an Aqara door lock a few weeks ago. I was able to add it to HomeKit without having to touch the keypad on the outside, but skipping the Aqara app means I can't configure things like automatic re-locking. I went to add the lock to the Aqara app just now and it asked me to enter a PIN on the lock. The problem is that this lock uses touch, not actual buttons. Aqara makes great hardware for a good price, but no buttons and some annoying design choices make me hesitate to recommend it.

@mcourcel I don't need the buttons to get in, because of HomeKey, but I probably wouldn't have gone with this lock had I realized there were no physical buttons beforehand.

@alexhall Yeah, me neither. I've even noticed sighted folks struggle with locks with no touch buttons, because they have to concentrate on the right touch on the pad. It's crap.

@jackf723 @mcourcel I'm outside of the window. I mainly got this one because it does Home Key, letting an Apple Watch or iPhone unlock it with an NFC scan. It can also use an accelerometer to auto-lock when the door closes. My next lock will probably be one that supports Aliro, which should be coming very soon.
