@KewlCat Don't be sorry! Thank you for finding and reporting a typo! I'll update it later on the main website.
@davidrevoy
I didn't see a typo. I thought the other character, eager to reply, had just interrupted the young witch's question.

Tricks you can incorporate into your comic (has potential)
1) Use the paid Pro model (depending on the provider, a few applications per time unit may be free)
2) Use the think function; AI will think about the answer for several seconds to minutes. (may be limited in free mode, depending on the provider)
3) Give the AI explicit instructions instead of giving it complete free rein.

PS: Generally speaking, with AI providers, unregistered users receive significantly poorer results than registered users, who in turn receive poorer results than paying users.
Cheaper users are given cheaper but weaker models, and expensive thinking (reasoning) is restricted .

@KewlCat@MurrayWindripper @davidrevoy @KewlCat But then there would have to be an em dash— which is kind of apropos when talking about AI.

@ygor
I've not heard of the em dash being used in that context before. I tend to use an ellipsis ... although I'm not sure if that is even grammatically correct. Is the em dash country specific?

@davidrevoy @KewlCat@MurrayWindripper @ygor @davidrevoy in that context (interrupting another character) I'd imagine that the second speech bubble would overlap on the first one

@davidrevoy Fabulous. I love it.

@davidrevoy He's got the BS all wrong! It stands for Belief System; the exact opposite of disbelief.
BS makes the flowers grow. 🪷

@KewlCat @MurrayWindripper @ygor True, the three em dash, three dots, and overlap (and probably more) are techniques to show interruption.
On my latest episode of Pepper&Carrot, I used the em dash one in English, and many translation choose to keep it this way. That's because I feel ... marks a pause or the tone going done, and my borderless speechbubbles don't allow me easy overlaps.
I'll fix your → yours

@sam4000 Thank you for the leads; I have a brainstorming paragraph at the top of my scenario.md file; I'll copy/paste them on the top for future exploration.

I love these!I can imagine writing short stories about that character
@screwturn
If you don't know it, you should read the main comics Pepper&Carrot https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/
It's licensed under CC-by and there is a wiki to help with using the world and characters for your own stories https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/wiki/Now, I wonder what kind of chaos *you* could unleash with your stories 🤭

@KewlCat @MurrayWindripper @ygor A follow up: after reading the FR translation who assumed it was an interruption with '...' I felt it sounded pretty good. I went this way ( fixed in https://framagit.org/peppercarrot/webcomics/-/merge_requests/1198/diffs?commit_id=dc8d0767b34dcb4caac8caa739fa260f5e9ce80a ) and the result is here: https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/miniFantasyTheater/037.html

@davidrevoy That stereotypical elf is weirdly funny to me. Feels like it could have been inspired by many other works

(Also realized that you post the English comic and not the French. Do you write both yourself? I don’t know French myself I’m afraid, but I assume it’s the origin language:))
@yon For MiniFantasyTheater, I write them directly in English (leading to some biohazard mistakes sometimes ^^ like in this one "your→yours").
The French version is fully maintained by @Nartance (a big thank you again!) , I merged and rendered the MR this morning https://www.peppercarrot.com/fr/miniFantasyTheater/037.html

@koalou
I have seen the odd one pop up here, and really like the style and topics. But I had not really looked further than that.What did you have in mind? Were you thinking I would expand on one of David's characters and take it down a grimmer path, or were you thinking David could use some of my story themes or characters? Or maybe a bit of both?
Also, were you mainly thinking the short story stuff, or the Princess of Darkness?Having skimmed over the website, I am intrigued.

@screwturn
I do love your Princesses of Darkness :3
It would be funny to have one cross Pepper’s path, get targeted by a spell like the one in Spell of War (ep 33), and have to work around it, for instance 🤭 -

@khaleer
Oh nice, I invented it but a part of me was almost sure a simple and cute glyph like that was used somewhere. Good to know it's Toki Pona
