@badumlisa Maßgeblich dafür sind vermutlich jahrelange Versäumnisse im Gebäude- und Verkehrssektor. Ja, Merz wird hierbei nicht mit Taten glänzen und Fortschritte eher blockieren, aber am Status Quo ist er nur zu einem kleinen Teil schuld.

Wenn man es geschickt macht und Strafzahlungen gegen Sozialleistungen, Schulen, Bildung, aufwiegt und den Leuten sagt, deshalb müssen sie jetzt bis 85 14 Stunden am Tag schaffen, werden die kein Thema mehr sein. Würde ich mir keine Sorgen drum machen.

Der Mann will nur davon ablenken, dass er mit der Rolle als Kanzler völlig überfordert ist. Wahrscheinlich dachte er, wenn er hier und da mal ein paar rechte Sprüche klopft, würde das reichen. Schließlich ist er so auch gewählt worden ohne tatsächlich vorher etwas geleistet zu haben. Die 2-Tage-Woche Lobbytätigkeit bei Blackrock zähle ich mal nicht.

@badumlisa the "greens" in Germany (and in Belgium too), infiltrated by Russian assets, have enacted anti-ecological and anti-economic measures to close nuclear energy too soon (they should be closed when we have massive storage) to help Russia (money for gas and economic dependency) and weaken Europe (economically) - This made Putin confident enough to start his massive invasion of Ukraine in 2022 - And we'll see where we go the next few years ... @silmeth So you are attacking a reneweable option that is literally not on the table for extending, nor is it used in Germany on that scale. You ignore the extremely dangerous option of a deliberate reactor catastrophe that is causing the surrounding area to be literally unliveable for humans for thousands of years. And ignore the costs. I’ll just add that 1 TWh of _wind_ power claims more human lives than nuclear (mostly due to maintenance people falling of the wind turbines). Only solar is safer.

As for environmental impact of making stuff uninhabitable for thousands of years – citation needed. Research in Čornobyl exclusion zone show that already after a few decades it’s a healthy ecosystem.

@silmeth @yingfochung You can say „exclusion zone“ AND „safe“? You see there are few death because the incident was 40 years ago, plus the Sowjets put the actual casualty numbers below the carpet? You see we were just lucky that dirtybombing UA nuclear plants has not worked or wasn‘t planned yet? Are long term cancer cases from incidents included? (Just rhethorical questions, answers known)
