    Dear everybody:

Everything is so much easier to understand, once you realize that the Gold-foil-King is a Mafioso, who only know mafioso methods, and only use mafioso methods.

The letter to the .no PM is classical mafia:

"Nice country you have there, pity if something happened to it. Better think careful about who gets those peace-prices, capisce ?"

EU needs to stop pussying around, and go full in and stand up to the bully.

    If not now, when ?

@bsdphk What's worse is that he's a movie parody of a real mafia don. *Successful* real world mafiosi all cashed out generations ago and bought casinos and real estate companies, where it's really hard to go bust as long as you run it sensibly—

      Oh, wait.

The longer you leave it, the more the bully feels empowered and the greater his demands.

One reason he has to get more and more greedy is
He fails in one thing after the other.
He kind of had to try as president, and now he shows the world you can fail even in that ultimate position of power.

@bsdphk a thing to note about mafias is that the small groups usually turn hyper-violent. This is because while a big group will always eventually win if they fight, a small belligerent group can make enough trouble that the big ones will back off. Given that nuclear weapons are well within the capabilities of almost every nation on the planet if they feel the need...

                1. Realize that USA is a failed state
                2. Disconnect
                3. Divest
                4. Reengage once the civil war is over.

@bsdphk as long as they keep paying they're by definition not failed, that's how commerce works. Besides, your own livelihood could be affected.

@trademark @bsdphk Not only are they well within capabilities, most of the knowledge you need is well documented. The N-th country experiment was already an eye opener. Today, 60 years later, it's much much worse. It is so easy to get access to scientific documentation than it was just a decade or two ago. There are youtube channels that discuss advanced nuclear physics. There are tons of videos of nuclear facilities, both civilian and military.

The only thing hard to get is Uranium/Plutonium.

@cstross @bsdphk Pretty sure I once said on your blog, during the 1st term, that Donnie’s a wannabe mob boss. You couldn’t be in the NY building business without dealing with the mafia. I think it’s part of why he prefers being called Don, or as he used to go by The Donald.
