I verified on their website it does not show, contacted her team by email to see if it's her ... this is reasonable, not potentially help impersonator.

if you want to be sure you can also ask by email.

@lexinova yes, you're right to think like that. I guess I thought the report from the adp and Tagesspiegel coinciding with the account being created today corroborated it. Combined with the content of the message as well as the first person replying being someone from Finland.

It is nice to see! This is a civilized site, unlike so many these days. While free expression is encouraged, there isn't the level of competitive abuse so common on purely American sites. Even on sites with many European members, like Quora or Reddit, the level of internal hostility and abuse is truly horrific, at times. This site is refreshingly free from this kind of competitive nonsense.

@leanderlindahl For God's sake, create some kind of law that prevents European leaders from using American networks (Facebook, twitter, Instagram, blue sky, ...). This is madness.

And one more thing. Don't use any server. Create your own server. A European server just for European leaders.

On a serious note - unfortunatelly, nowadays we hear the same lies from 3 sources which just parrot it from the real fabricator (usually Russia).

@lexinova @leanderlindahl @hennavirkkunen Multiple reputable news sources (including Die Zeit) picked it up from DPA, which appears to be the German equivalent of the US Associated Press. The DPA say they were told this directly by the EU Commission. Here's a link to Die Zeit's article:
