I went to a meetup of real trans people yesterday, actually flesh and blood variety rather than online variety, and I am shocked that the rumours are true and we do exist in plural and not just solo.

I went to a meetup of real trans people yesterday, actually flesh and blood variety rather than online variety, and I am shocked that the rumours are true and we do exist in plural and not just solo. More crazy, is that most of them live within miles of me, but this being London "miles" radius could well be a couple of million people, so not a surprise I'd never seen them before.
It's a good day. Go meet people in real life if you can.

@dee Last week I went to a computer security conference in Germany attended by ~16k people. Over the years this conference has become more explicit in its acceptance of queerness, and these days they replace all the restroom signs in the venue with "all gender" signs, and post this on every stall door.
The result: it's such a joyous place to be! I've never seen so many light-up cat ear headbands
And I'm now convinced that trans women rule the computer security industry. -
