Who else is going to find me something I have missed, after @HaTetsu gave me 3 more earlier, but I too found one more for them as well 🙂

Countries / borders included: ALL EU, UK, NO, CH, LI, all the Balkans, EU external borders UA, MD, TR, and UA-MD

Not included: anything to Russia, Belarus, and anything Georgia/Armenia/Azerbaijan, or Turkey or Ukraine non-EU borders

@jon @HaTetsu Does the Aachener Straßenbahn count? They had a line to Vaals, that connected to the steam tramway to Maastricht (https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tramlijn_Maastricht_-_Vaals)

@smveerman @jon LOL, missed that one too, and I think that was a case of me coming across it while doing 1910 and then overlooking it for 1936 judging from the deja vu XD

@HaTetsu @smveerman And I have actually been to the station where that line ended in Vaals! So you have just given me one more for my have visited list. But where did the Aachen-Vaals tram cross the border exactly?

@jon @HaTetsu After the tramline was cut back to the border, the terminus was directly after the border control, which might even indicate which side of the road the tram track was located: https://www.flickr.com/photos/21602076@N05/6130443251

@jon @HaTetsu @smveerman that would have been here:

                    https://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=50.770616&mlon=6.026445#map=18/50.770616/6.026445

Unless things have changed, there’s a good 2nd hand shop for baby stuff right by the stop, and a decent frituur across the street.

Based on normal traffic, it would totally be worth it running a tram line there again.

@slothrop @jon @HaTetsu A tramline to the Uniklinik near the border would have more priority, but Aachen and trams have a difficult relationship in the last decades.
