This is one of the many foxes that live in our communal back garden.
Generally, they're quite nervous of humans, but the kids in the flat upstairs have been throwing food out of the window to them.
So now, every time I open my window, at least one hopeful fox rushes over and stares up at me with this expression
@rufustheduck
What a beaut!

@rufustheduck That's such a cutie! I understand why they want to feed them, but I feel like this is a good way to get bitten by a fox in the future...

@heinragas one good thing about our communal garden - no one uses it. It belongs to the foxes

I so love foxes!
I wanted one as a pet when I was small, but my mother didn't allow it
She said they were smelly, and that was the end of that. -

"What are you doing in the garden, Rufus?"
"I'm just trying to sniff this fox...." -

The males have got this whole anal gland thing going so they're pretty whiffy, but let me tell you my sister used to date a gym teacher so it's all about perspective -

Do you want to talk about that urge though? I mean, it must have been quite the thing, especially the gym teacher. The fox: okay, who doesn't want to sniff a fox, right? But the gym teacher is interesting

@pascaline @Hedgewizard it was just society pressuring me to date more gym teachers. You know what people are like

@rufustheduck I spent a year in a forest cabin in Idaho, many moons ago. There was a fox that regularly wandered around the yard. One day I put half of a hot dog on the deck, which they happily ate. The next day, they came back and took a dump on the deck, and that was the last time I ever saw them. Guess they didn't like hot dogs after all.

@DukeDuke that was the fox equivalent of a 5-star review!

@rufustheduck A fox raced past the front of our house today and I almost screamed with delight.
