Is anyone using Mastodon as their primary social media and is it working for you?

@LianaBrooks 90% primary. I Bluesky occasionally, but the community here is working out amazingly for me.

@LianaBrooks GTS is the only general-purpose social platform we've used for a couple years now. it's been nice. of course, our goals may differ from most people's.

@LianaBrooks Yes but unknown because I am really just starting to use Mastodon. My Facebook use is down 90%, TikTok is view only and zero Instagram, Bluesky or Snap. I deleted my X account when Elon started Doge.

My early assessment is kinda but it's a really different experience and group. I think it's good but I'll need to adapt to it and nobody I know is here, so this is just online connections only.

Yes, Mastodon, and other Fedi platforms like @pixelfed, PieFed, @loops and Misskey totally work for me.

@LianaBrooks Yes this is my primary social media interaction but I am not as satisfied with it as I would wish to be. It's harder to find the types of accounts I am interested in following - predominantly news and arts/culture - but it feels safer and more affirming than twitter ever did. Still, I would like more community within my interests.
