I've seen a reel from a lady who said that, as an adult woman in her 30s, she's exhausted from trying to get diagnosed for autism/ ADHD and none takes her seriously. She now decided to not get diagnosed and to get treatment for the all her comorbidities instead.
    It's the sad truth. 😔

Getting diagnosed is a lot of energy and a privilege: time, money, finding doctors who won't go "you don't obsess over trains you are autistic" (wishing I made that up but it's a quote from a lady I know) and take you seriously.

Bottom line: we should stop asking for a diagnosis to give people accommodations!
If someone tells you they need to use a noise cancelling headset to focus, let them. If someone tells you they need some quiet time in the middle of the day, let them.
