As an ADHD artist / writer with episodes of depression who switched to Linux like 3-4 years ago, i feel the posts oft @JenJen installing Linux in a spiritual level.Luckily i had nice ppl in the FediVerse helping me.
But i still lost access to ClipArtStudio that was my main work tool, because it has no Linux compatible Version and woeking around with Windows image shit was too complicated for me.
I also lost acess to most functions in my Huion Screen.TechBros whose Hobby is tinkering

with OS and Computers need to understand, that artist, expecially us neurodivergent ones, already need most oft their energy to learn all the skills surrounding our craft.
The energy that is needed to make Linux work with the tools we need can be so high, that nothing is left to do the actual art.
What we need- in order to fight big tech- is understanding help from those who enjoy computers as their main hobby, not being belittled.

Oh yeah?
How many of you drive a car and can actually change the oil, or find the issue/repair shit if it stops working all of a sudden? Hmm?How many of you eat different meals and actually learn to make every dish from scratch?
Human knowledge is to vast to have every individual be an expert in every field.
Supporting each other is how a good society works.If you have nothing helpful to say, maybe stay silent.
