A shared post from another user who also likes owls and thinks the pictures are great.
And whether it's worldfeed or not, the pictures can be seen throughout the Fediverse, regardless of which software you use.
So yes, the network is the Fediverse, Mastodon is just your software, not that of the entire network

I remember back when Eugene Rochko released the first Mastodon App. He disabled the live feeds as well. Receiving immediate protests from the users. Later the live streams were introduced in the Mastodon App.
What the heck does the Mastodon team think they are.
But at the end this is actually good, when many folks decide to leave that overly sized Mastodon instance. -

Ich hatte da zeitgleich noch eine Diskussion bezüglich Hashtags und der Nennung der Software laufen und habe das vermengt.
Was die Timeline angeht und das hetzt geänderte Verhhalten von Mastodon, komplett umzuschwenken und auf die in Kommerziellen Dienste nverwendeten Metriken zu setzen und einem Konten zu "präsentieren, die Reichweite haben", ist ein tritt in die Weichteile der Fediverse "Regeln", wie sie bisher gehandthabt wurden.
Es war früher so, das man solche Konten nicht noch verstärkt, weil man damit auch Shitstorms und Flamewars begünstigt und ihnen das benzin zum zündeln liefert.
Diese Abkehr wird aus dem Fediverse weiter eine Shithölle machen.
Und das unabhängig, welche Timelines du dir selber ansiehst oder nicht.
Das verhalten, was die anderen Dienste kaputt gemacht hat, will man jetzt ins Fediverse bringen -

It's "only" the biggest streams to trawl for random and unexpected content, to get outside of your own curation bubble. The best places to stumble over new things. I look at them often.
