@wdlindsy my point is I guess that calling the senators implies we are calling democrats? Republicans clearly aren't listening. If democrats have no power and haven't advanced voting rights in 30 years as a policy I don't see how calling on them now will help. -

@Nimbius666 Since Joyce Vance lives in the red state of Alabama, I am assuming — in fact, I know this from reading her over a long period of time — she's encouraging people in red states to call their Republican senators. Calling helps in that it creates a log of their constituents asking them to take policy stances, and they even if they pretend to ignore that log, there's a lot of evidence that political leaders pay attention to polls, especially GOP ones as Trump's popularity tanks.
