It's hard to boost "libencarbulator turbo++ 2.8a release is now available! Now supports configuring reticulation of splines" in a vacuum, and I want nothing more than to boost the cool thing you made

Supports reticulating splines by integrating Spliiiner 5.38.4 and Gooprl5 via a crypo-spyfro-tiptoe retrangulator and optional flags with the Spango framework. Also includes the long-requested feature to actually save your work.

I often find myself saying "but what does it do?", when reading the README of projects hosted on Git**b. I generally then move on to some other task.

@mr_daemon if the profile and the website and the link to the release explain it, does the toot really need it?

I see it as a trade-off between more noise for those who know (which are probably most followers) and the reduced effort for those who don't know. The hope is that the latter can find out easily.

Example is the last release announcement of @teamtype where we didn't include the explanation. I'm open to include it in the future, but it's not yet 100% clear to me that that's better.

Also please put this description on the website for your thing!

There are so many websites now that don't give any clue as to what they actually are or do. Adding a simple "About" link to a straightforward explanation of the thing would be brilliant (imagine you're writing the Wikipedia page for your thing rather than marketing hype).

@zormit @teamtype Honestly, I quite appreciate that the github release page linked there has a short description at the top, for people landing here, so they don't have to go find your readme and hope for the best. I should do the same, actually.

But also a single sentence like "We just released v 8.0 of Froobulator: a cake frosting control interface" or whatnot, goes a long way.
